CEF-8xs/10xs CEF-8xs/10xs is an 8"/10" TFT display for military use and use in demanding industrial conditions designed and manufactured by Control Express Finland Oy.

Our military displays are dustproof and splash resistant as they are entirely protected in accordance with the requirements of IP65. Due to this high protection class, these displays are perfectly suited to for wet and dirty conditions.

The aluminium body of the display is both light and sturdy. The case is precision cut out of a single piece of aluminium, which ensures tight and precise fitting. The aluminium body reinforces the display structure and protects the sensitive electronic components inside the display. TFT elements are protected from blows and vibration by an absorption system. The element front is protected by shock absorbent glass (not in touch screen models).

Inside the displays, there are two automatic thermal resistors (one in CEF-8xs). When the temperature drops below +0 C°, these resistors switch on. When the temperature rises back to a safe level, the resistors switch back off.

In order to prevent possible damage caused by freezing of the display element, the display switch is programmed to first turn on only the thermal resistors if the temperature drops below +0 C°. The display will automatically turn on when the temperature rises back to a safe level. When operated close to the lower temperature limit, the display may take several minutes to warm up. Display preheating can be skipped by pressing the power switch for 3.5 seconds, which makes the display switch on despite the temperature.

This military display meets the requirements of ce standard.
